A Weekend In(sound) The City

The first 1000 people to pre-order the new Bloc Party album, 'A Weekend In The City', from Insound will receive a free limited edition 7" vinyl. This will feature two tracks: 'I Still Remember' and non-album track 'We Were Lovers' (formerly known as 'Cells Shaped Like Stars' and' Into The Blue'...it's getting a release at last!). This vinyl won't be repressed, so it looks set to be a sought after collector's item.

i'd get it, but to have to wait for it to be shipped when i knew i could go to a store and buy one would be impossible.

and why would i want a vinyl? i dont even have a record player.

i hope they release "We Were Lovers" some other way.

Yes! I pre-ordered it. I hope I'm on of the first 1000. Is this the standard edition because I may have to buy the DVD edition seperately

i just pre ordered it, despite the slightly extra price, because i found out i actually DO have a record player.

i bet we (and by "we" i mean "ian","matoran", and i) got it in time. i mean, this just got posted 1 day ago.

bloc party isn't very big in the US.

i'm sure we got it.

yay! good news.

i emailed the guy who runs insound and he said that i was one of the first 1000 people.

i ordered it on wednesday at about 12:30 my time. for all you london people, that was probably like 7:30 PM or so. so if you ordered it anywhere around or before then, you probably got the 7 inch.

i got a reply that said I got it and I didn't order until 2 days after the promotion was announced so if you ordered it within the first two days you got it for sure.
