Always New Debts
Unfortunately, the BlocParty.net forum, AlwaysNewDepths.com, is currently offline due to, in the words of The Von Bondies, "a lack of communication". The bill for this month's hosting hasn't been paid, but the forum will hopefully be back online as soon as all the debts are cleared!
In the meantime, here are a few ways to fill the AlwaysNewDepths-shaped void in your life:

In the meantime, here are a few ways to fill the AlwaysNewDepths-shaped void in your life:
- Vote, vote and vote again (maximum of once per day!) for BlocParty.net in this year's BT Digital Music Awards.
- Watch Al Gore's global warming documentary, 'An Inconvenient Truth' at your local cinema...it might just change your life.
- Get on the Hot Chip case. 'The Warning' is my favourite album of the year so far (closely followed by TV On The Radio's second album). It has everything...beautifully understated (yet addictive) melodies, genius lyrics, falsetto vocals, squelchy basslines, twinkly xylophone riffs, monkeys with miniature cymbals...what more could you possibly want in life?!
- Develop an addiction to Curve Ball. Subsequently defend your addiction with the words: "I am simply enriching my knowledge of projectile motion by studying the effects of spin on the trajectory of a spherical object."
Normal service will be resumed shortly!

In The Union
BLOG PARTY has managed to get hold of two rare video recordings from back in the day, when 'Silent Alarm' was but a twinkle in Kele's eye and the band known as 'Bloc Party' didn't even exist.
These live videos of previously unheard songs 'Chinese Burn' and 'Rivulet' actually date back to when the foursome were known as 'Union', shortly after Matt joined. They were recorded at the same gig as the three videos that were posted in August. Hope you like them...sorry for any video/audio synchronisation issues!

Ballet Rocks
Ever harboured a desire to watch elfin dancers leap delicately to Bloc Party's jerky beats? Well, here's your big chance...
A new ballet production, titled 'Ballet Rocks', has been choreographed by English National Ballet’s Jenna Lee to music by Bloc Party. Directed by Elliot Naftalin with costumes created by leading designer Giles Deacon, the short film was commissioned to break down stereotypes about ballet.
Wayne Eagling, ENB artistic director, said: “We are striving to broaden the perceptions of ballet and nurture new talent. By working with musicians, fashion designers and new technology to create truly exciting and innovative new work, we hope to see ballet breaking through to a wider audience.”
The production will premiere on Sky’s Artsworld digital channel later this month. Does anyone have it?! It'd be really cool to get a recording of it put up on BLOG PARTY...
edit: 'Ballet Rocks' will be shown on Artsworld on Wednesday 20th September at 10pm to coincide with London Fashion Week. The dance film is set to Bloc Party's 'Banquet' and the programme also features a behind-the-scenes documentary revealing how the piece was created.
