Skeleton(!!!)
The band came back on for a second encore and Kele gave the microphone to the fans at the front, saying they'd play whatever song was said first. To the relief of many, the first fan responded by chanting "Skeleton!". Well done that man...may you go down in the history books as the person who finally persuaded Bloc Party to perform 'Skeleton' live again. Watch some video evidence below...
That was me! Got the skeleton chants going straight after Halo ended and built up a lil chant following around the front of the stage everytime Kele stopped to talk to the crowd. Was so awesome!!
It was fantastic. I was on the third barrier with my girlfriend, great view. When Kele gave the mic to Nettie (I think?) earlier, we heard the "Skeleton" shouts over the PA (when Gordy said "You know we can't make that happen"). I thought it would be too good to be true...
But bizarrely LOTS of people knew it! The middle-aged guys near me, who weren't even singing throughout the gig, were shouting every word.
Absolutely fantastic... what a great birthday present :)

next time ask them to play secret. that song is so underrated
Chinese Burn... don't be stupid! It'd take em ages to tune up & remember the right chords, thats assuming Kele can even remember all the lyrics! Skeleton took a lil while to get going as it was... Anyway, the only reason they even threw the mic into the crowd an asked wat song they shud play was cos they knew the answer wud be Skeleton. We were chanting it frm pretty much the start of the gig and I guess it paid off. I'm glad they played it, it was historical, awesome and it justified all the effort I went to dragging a life sized inflatable skeleton to Reading Festival this year, gaffer taping it to a tent pole and hoisting it up high above the crowd, only to have it torn to shreds about 15 secs into Mercury!!! Don't get me wrong, Burn is an awesome tune... "GOD SENDS...........DISASTERS!!!", but BP's Union days were well over 6 years ago, they'd sound well sketchy! Anyway, if they were gonna go for any old skool song I'd have em play Rivulet, massive Pioneers fan!!!
