  Kele: tour dates and video

Kele has just announced a lengthy solo tour, including dates in Europe, USA and Canada. Click here for the full list.

And here's the brand spanking new video for his first solo single, 'Tenderoni'...

What are your first impressions of Kele's solo project? Excited about 'The Boxer', or looking forward more to hearing what Young Legionnaire come up with?

Comments:
Well someones been down the gym! i like it, its good to have another outlet to try different stuff than turn Bloc into a dance group.

Now that Kele has put his own material out there maybe some people will appreciate another side of his musical talents. Perhaps Bloc can go back to its grass roots now that the dance stuff has been put out there.

Good Tune!

This sound is really crappy sorry Kele ! It's like listening David Guetta or some shit like that :/ I hope the rest of the album will be better honestly !

Mr Peanuts has a valid point.
I think it's perfectly healthy for the guys to break free from routine and experiment and try out ideas that may not have necessarily worked with Bloc Party.

I'm not too familiar with the dance/electronica genres but I think people should find something good in every style of music. Perhaps Kele's new material might introduce many fans who predominately listen to guitar music into a new direction.

As for bloc party's experimentation (a la mercury), it might not always work but it's much better to take that risk as opposed to compromising their artistic ingenuity and selling out (See Biffy Clyro).

Nevertheless, it's sad to see there's no dates in Scotland :(

I actually really like it (but that's probably because I listen to such a variety of genres that it doesn't stick out in my mind at all).

I also really like what seems to be the persona that Kele is developing for this album. It's nice to see someone put that much effort in dance music.

I wouldn't wanna play it too often (as I think you could easily overdo it) but I think it's a very decent single - particularly like the treatment on his vocals in the chorus.

I love this! I've enjoyed all of bloc party's albums for there different styles, and i know a lot of fans don't appreciate intimacy much. But Kele has said he's always enjoyed the club scene, im glad he's getting to let out what he wants, and I personally think its awesome.

Bloc Party is my favorite band of all time. So I think Kele's got a pretty good chance of making amazing songs. Plus this one is pretty good. I like the beat especially. Good Luck Kele.
